Sharing is caring!

Welcome to my post about 10 Things I’m Lovin’ Right Now. Where I can share with everyone a selection of neat/happy things that I have found or that have happened during the week.

With all of this craziness happening in the world right now, I’m am doing my best to focus on the positive things around us. Some days are definitely easier than others.

So Anyway, here are some Happy things for the week. The 10 Things I’m Lovin’ Right Now:

1. Inspiring Quotes

I got this awesome text message today, that I shared on facebook, from Trent Shelton (former NFL Player). I follow his podcast called Rehab Time. It’s all about self improvement and I get a daily text from him with a wonderful Inspiring and/or positive message. And they always seem to pop up when I most need it! Here’s today’s quote:

2. Sparkling Water

If you are a fan of coconut water, check out this new product that I found this week. It’s a delicious sparkling water with coconut water and it is super refreshing for summer sipping and hydrating! Vita Coco Sparkling Water

3. Grilled Carrots

I am totally addicted to these Za’atar Seasoned Grilled Carrots! I’m going to have to make another batch this week. If you haven’t tried these, you definitely should, they are so good! The marinade is great for grilling other veggies too! I like to eat them cold and dipped into some fresh homemade hummus. A perfect summer snack!

4.  The Farmers Market

One of my favorite summer outings is a trip to the farmers market. I love all of the beautiful fresh produce and herbs, cut flowers, canned jams and pickles and yummy baked goods! Some even have live music, local coffee and tea, local beer and wine and awesome food trucks. It’s a perfect outing for the whole family.

5. Sunflowers

They have got to be the most happiest flowers ever! And they are everywhere right now. Pick some up at the farmers market or find a U-Pick field of them and cut you own. It’s hard to not smile in a big field of sunflowers!

6. BBQ Rub

I picked up a bottle of this BBQ Rub yesterday. I put it on some chicken along with some fresh garlic and olive oil, let it marinate a bit before grilling. It was delicious! This one’s a keeper!

7. SOMM TV

www.sommtv.com

SOMM TV The best food and wine stories, all in one place. From the creators of the award winning SOMM Documentary Series, comes a streaming service all about the worlds of wine, food and hospitality.

I’ve been watching a show called Whites:

Set in the high-pressure kitchen of a country hotel, Whites follows the trials and tribulations of head chef Roland White (Alan Davies) and his sous chef Bib (Darren Boyd). Roland is a fantastic chef who was on the brink of success 15 years ago. Since then, he’s lost the sparkle and drive needed to win that long coveted Michelin star.

8. Aidells Pineapple and Bacon Smoked Chicken Sausage

A little sweet, a little savory and a whole lot delicious. This smoked chicken sausage has bits of real pineapple and naturally smoked bacon along with a touch of brown sugar and a special seasoning blend. Dice and sauté with rice, peas, onions, and egg for homemade fried rice.

9. Ocean Plastic Planters

Michigan-based Bloem Living offers unique home decor products for indoor and outdoor living spaces. On the occasion of Earth Day 2020, the company launched its new Ocean Series planters created in partnership with Lowe. The collaboration is turning ocean plastics and post-consumer recycled goods into vibrant and durable flowerpots.

Under this initiative, plastic is collected from coastal areas, sorted, and then turned into resin. The resin is then delivered to Bloem to create colorful planters within their facility in Apopka, Florida. There are mainly two types of planters – window box and a regular planter, which come in different sizes to and cater to various user needs. Each planter comes with an attached saucer to ensure you can place them indoors without worrying about the water draining through.

Apart from letting users shift to sustainable gardening, these ocean plastic planters boast a transitional style that will suit both indoor and outdoor. Furthermore, the plastic is fade-resistant and will last for a lifetime. These recycled ocean plastic planters, Bloem states, are designed to last in order to keep plastic waste out of our oceans for years to come.
