Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
  • 15 ounce can garbanzo beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons tahini sesame seed paste
  • 2 tablespoons minced roasted red peppers
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Za’atar seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup plus 2 Tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil reserve for top
  1. Place all ingredients (except the last) in high powered blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping sides of blender occasionally.
  2. Transfer to airtight container. Drizzle with about 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil. This will prevent dry film from forming. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours. When ready to serve, stir well to combine. Enjoy!
