1 8-ounce container sour cream 1 Hass avocado cut into chunks 1 clove garlic minced 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
In the bowl of a food processor or blender, add all ingredients.
Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
For a thinner consistency, add 1–2 tablespoons of water or milk until desired texture is reached.
Use ripe avocados for the best creamy texture and flavor.
Add extra lime juice for a brighter, tangier crema.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to help prevent browning.
This crema pairs well with tacos, burrito bowls, grilled chicken, fish, roasted vegetables, and nachos.
