About Meal Street Kitchen
Hi! Welcome to Meal Street Kitchen – Real Food, Made Simple.
I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Angela and I’m a classically trained chef who loves turning real ingredients into delicious, approachable meals. I started Meal Street Kitchen because I believe that cooking should be flavorful, wholesome, and simple, no matter how busy life gets. My mission is to help you create real meals that are easy to make, fun to eat, and good for you.
Whether you’re a beginner cook, a busy parent, or just someone who loves good food, I want this blog to be your go-to spot for simple, chef-inspired recipes and practical kitchen tips.
Why I Started Meal Street Kitchen
After years of training in classic culinary techniques, I realized something important: you don’t need to be a professional chef to cook amazing food at home. My goal is to bring professional cooking skills into everyday kitchens, without complicated techniques or hard-to-find ingredients.
Every recipe I share is designed to:
- Use fresh, real ingredients you can find at your local grocery store
- Be easy to follow, even if you’re new to cooking
- Deliver big flavor with minimal effort
- Fit a variety of diets, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and family-friendly meals
My tagline, “Real Food, Made Simple,” isn’t just a promise—it’s how I approach cooking every day.
My Story
As a classically trained chef, I spent years learning the foundations of French, Italian, and modern cuisine. But I noticed that many home cooks felt intimidated by traditional techniques or thought real food had to be complicated.
That’s why I created Meal Street Kitchen: to share everything I’ve learned in professional kitchens in a way that’s fun, approachable, and practical. Here, you’ll find recipes that are chef-tested but easy enough for weeknight dinners, meal prep, and family meals. I love using seasonal, fresh ingredients to create dishes that are both nourishing and delicious.
What You’ll Find Here
On Meal Street Kitchen, I share:
- Chef-Inspired Recipes: Easy, flavorful meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Meal Prep Tips: Save time without sacrificing taste
- Cooking Hacks: Professional techniques simplified for home kitchens
- Family-Friendly Ideas: Meals everyone will love

I want to make real food accessible and enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re cooking for yourself, your family, or friends.

March 31, 2018 at 5:00 pmHi Angela,
I look forward to reading more about wine pairing. I love to cook Italian food and, well, wine is pretty much inseparable from the dishes.
I love Portland! I am lucky enough to have a family member who lives there and is very much a foodie, so it is always fun to visit.

March 31, 2018 at 5:04 pmI just recently visited a winery here and will be posting about that soon. I plan to do much more of them too! I adore Italian food. One day I plan to eat and drink my way through Italy!
