GOOD BREAD IS THE MOST FUNDAMENTALLY SATISFYING OF ALL FOODS; GOOD BREAD WITH FRESH BUTTER, THE GREATEST OF FEASTS! ~JAMES BEARD

Hi, I’m Angela—classically trained chef, comfort food enthusiast, and full-time foodie (sometimes my goofy golden retriever helps with taste-testing… or steals bites when I’m not looking). I’ve cooked in some of Portland’s top restaurants, hotels, and catering companies, but what I really love is creating dishes that make people smile, whether it’s a cozy classic or something a little unexpected. My focus is always on fresh, local, sustainable ingredients—fancy only if it’s worth it.
Cooking has been my passion since I was a kid, watching my mom experiment in the kitchen and make homemade cookbooks out of towering stacks of magazine clippings. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong curiosity about food, flavors, and cultures—and eventually turned into a career fueled by creativity, flavor, and a serious love of comfort.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m doing something creative—crafting, antiquing, trying a DIY project, or just being silly with my puppy. You’ll also catch me cheering on the Trail Blazers or indulging in Italian food, tacos, and chocolate (sometimes all in one sitting, because why not?).
Travel is another passion of mine, and at the very top of my bucket list is eating and drinking my way through Italy—strictly for “research,” of course. Every dish I make comes from that same curiosity and passion: a little comfort, lots of flavor, and always a dash of fun. Because to me, food is more than just a meal—it’s an experience, a story, and a reason to gather with people you love.

“ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. BUT A LITTLE CHOCOLATE NOW AND THEN DOESN’T HURT.”

March 31, 2018 at 5:00 pmHi Angela,
I look forward to reading more about wine pairing. I love to cook Italian food and, well, wine is pretty much inseparable from the dishes.
I love Portland! I am lucky enough to have a family member who lives there and is very much a foodie, so it is always fun to visit.
